The Canadian Ferry Association applauds an announcement made by Defense Minister Peter MacKay and Revenue Minister Gail Shea on Government of Canada's investment in the purchase of a new vessel for the Digby to Saint John ferry service, replacing the federally-owned MV Princess of Acadia.  This much needed investment should ensure reliable ferry service, which is particularly important to the local economy, and transportation infrastructure.

On June 21st, 2013 National Defense Minister Peter MacKay and Revenue Minister Gail Shea announced a $13 million Government of Canada investment for vessel and on-shore infrastructure improvements for the Wood Islands, P.E.I. - Caribou, N.S. ferry service.

The Government of Nova Scotia announced that it is extending the deadline for companies to submit proposals for a new ferry service between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and Maine until July 4th, 2013.

On June 20th, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB), tabled its 2012-2013 Annual Report in the House of Commons, noting a decrease in marine accidents from previous years.

Transport Canada has published proposed amendments to the Marine Transportation Security Regulations in Canada Gazette, Part I.  The amendments are designed to bring Canada in line with its international obligations under the International Maritime Organization and also to bring its regulations more in line with those of the U.S.  The proposed amendments are available online and Transport Canada is accepting comments on them for 60 days. I applied the drug for the first time when I had gonarthrosis of the knee joints. Soma - the effect of anesthesia surpassed all previously used drugs. I have gastritis, pancreatitis, liver after Botkin’s disease. There was no side effect after 5 pills. I had a slight disorientation in space only in the morning. I haven’t found the information when I can repeat the course.

The Government of Nova Scotia has issued a new RFP for providing a ferry service between Yarmouth, and Maine.  The Province is committing $21 million to mitigate start-up costs and has announced a new tourism initiative with a contribution of $1 million to improve the sustainability of the new ferry service.  The deadline for proposals is June 20th, 2013.  For more information, click here.
