A panel of 12 judges will select finalists, with the winners being chosen by the BC Ferries\u2019 Executive Management Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the distinction of having named a ship, the winner will also receive $500 in ferry travel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis contest provides an exciting opportunity for customers to name a ferry that will be in service for decades to come,\u201d said Corrine Storey, BC Ferries\u2019 Vice President of Customer Services in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA vessel\u2019s name is important because it is a reflection of our province and the coastal culture we all share.
