These include RORO ferries, escort tugs, and seismographic research vessels. Recent projects include ferry designs for the Nova Scotia Department of Public Works. The company has designed over 150 vessels, including ferries for Halifax, New Brunswick, and BC Ferries. Marine Consultants has extensive experience in ferry design. The company has designed all of the ferries operated by the Province of Nova Scotia and the City of Halifax. In collaboration with the Elliot Bay Design Group, E.Y.E. Marine Consultants designed the BC Ferries “Baynes Sound Connector”, the longest saltwater cable ferry in the world.

E.Y.E. Marine Consultants prepared specifications and served as the owner’s representative during the construction of the “Grand Manan Adventure” for New Brunswick. The firm also represented the Beausoleil First Nation for the recently delivered “Niigaan Enaazhek”.

IN RECENT NEWS: New Tancook Ferry

The New Tancook Island Ferry, designed by E.Y.E. Marine Consultants, is a 36 m self-propelled vessel nearing completion at AF Theriault & Son. It is expected to enter service later this year, serving Big Tancook and Little Tancook in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. The ferry will carry 18 vehicles and up to 99 passengers and crew. Based on the design of “Margaret's Justice”, it has been modified to accommodate more walk-on passengers. This is the first barge-style, short-crossing ferry built under class in the Maritimes. This was a learning experience for all involved.

The new 15-car cable ferry for Country Harbour, NS, the “Grand Chief Ben Sylliboy”, designed by E.Y.E. Marine Consultants and built by A.F. Theriault & Son, is now in service. It is the second of two sister ships replacing the last older cable ferries in Nova Scotia. The vessel features a diesel-electric system that can be converted to full electric when grid upgrades are completed at Little Narrows. With a 24 m hull and a 27 m overhanging deck, the vessel did not need to be delegated to class. It could remain under Transport Canada, resulting in significant cost savings during plan approval and construction.

CONTACT US:

Address: Suite 216, 1496 Bedford Hwy, Bedford, NS, Canada, B4A 1E5

Phone: +1(902)-463-8940

Email: info@eyemarine.com

Website: http://www.eyemarine.com

Linked In: https://www.linkedin.com/company/e-y-e-marine-consultants/about/

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9xbJ7Xad1qU90gw5fuaxFg

Supplier Member of the Month allows one CFA Supplier member per month to highlight their business.
