Remontowa Shiprepair Yard which operates in Gdansk Poland is the largest shiprepair and conversion facility in the Baltic region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, an average of 200 ships from all over the world visit our six floating docks and two semi-submersible heavy-lift barges as well as six kilometres of fully equipped shipyard quays, ranging from specialised and passenger vessels to the largest cargo ships measuring up to 300 metres in length.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We convert and repair merchant vessels, navy ships and offshore structures for shipowners around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We modernise huge platforms and tankers, operating in the offshore energy sector. We convert them into floating production facilities as well as oil and gas storage offloading units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We lengthen ships to increase their cargo capacity and energy efficiency which contributes to reducing emissions per each transported tonne, or we shorten them as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our speciality is eco-friendly ship conversions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015, as the first in the world, we adapted the propulsion of the Stena Germanica ferry owned by Stena Line to run on methanol, contributing to the vessel's almost complete elimination of sulphur emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017-2019, we converted for BC Ferries two large Canadian ro-pax ferries, replacing their propulsion systems with new ones powered by LNG. Thus, we reduced their total annual carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere by 25,000 tonnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have so far retrofitted more than 150 ships both with Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems and\/or Ballast Water Treatment Systems enabling them to comply with strict new regulations on reducing emissions and preventing water pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the implementation of these projects, we now have a wealth of expertise and experience in equipping the world's fleet with various BWT technologies (filtration and electrolytic disinfection, UV lamps, chemical infusion, chlorine dioxide treatment and many others) and scrubber systems (open-loop, close-loop, hybrid) supplied by a very large amount of leading manufacturers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We provide ship owners with turnkey projects from pre-survey and 3D scanning, through design engineering, equipment supply, prefabrication, installation up to the commissioning, trials and delivery of the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also modernize ships, thus reducing their fuel consumption and increasing  efficiency up to the Energy rating A+. We improve the efficiency of the ship's propulsion system by replacing the bulbous bow and optimising the hull shape, modifying the engine and propeller, replacing the coating system, as well as through many other Energy Saving Technologies.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
